National Demo

Really good day today, nice to see a turn out of nearly 50,000 people, students, teachers and lecturers alike. Very difficult to keep track of people to be fair but we didn’t lose anybody and everybody did Dudley College proud! We got on loads of news channels, hopefully you saw us. Aaron speech was excellent as always ,and i think, made people feel that we will win in our fight against the education cuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And we will not give in!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s just a shame that some people spoilt it by causing trouble but that was never part of the NUS…

FE Zone

Really good day, had fun but also learnt a lot, it was better then Soc and Cit because it was targeted at FE specifically so it was a lot more relevant to me and the students of Dudley College. Actually ate some of the food today because i was extremely tired and very hungry. Hopefully these experiences will help me to represent the voice of students to the best of my ability. Can’t wait to put some of the things i have learnt into action. Bring on the next conference!!!!!!!!!!

Alton Towers

Great Day out and a surprisingly good team building exercise. Had a lot of fun, went on a lot of rides and seen the MOST RAIN I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE! Got absolutley drenched but added to the day by making it unforgetable. Also i have never seen anybody so scared and try and jump out of a seat they were secured into, on what was possibly the least scary ride i have ever been on in my life.

Society And Citizenship Zone

Great exeperience at my first NUS event. Learnt loads about how the goverments policies will effect us as students and how students can work together to fight these problems. Sad to see so few FE delegates but thats because the goverment funding cuts are restricting the amount of delegates that colleges can send, which is all the more reason to join the Student Union and helps us to fight for YOUR RIGHTS as students.
