Hi All,

Hope your enjoying the first term of college and its almost half term time just seems to be flying by,  I keep forgetting what day were on however im still managing to stay somewhat organised :) that’s always a good thing whoop. Totally wishing that there’s more hours in the day after all there’s lots to do. Hi all,

Firstly let me just say good luck to everyone thats receiving there GCSE Results today :) and hope that everyone that got there Alevel results were happy and got what they wanted :). Its really nice to meet students that are enrolling and that I can’t believe how fast the time flys, seems like it was only a few days ago that I was doing this last year. Hi All,

Well let’s start this off with some good news as you may already know we have been short listed for an LSIS award and two NUS awards. Results are in (well for the LSIS one) we got an award for the category “social cohesion and civic participation” for our save our EMA campaign and we got highly commended in this category. Have to say its been a busy couple of weeks back. We have been on the radio talking about the Wolf review (that was about vocational education) along with the principle Lowell Williams. Also we have had the BBC come in to listen and recorded some students and their views about the government’s choices on EMA. Update EMA

Hi All,

Just an update we managed to get a meeting with Chris Kelly MP on Friday 14 January to have a discussion about EMA. Me, two students from Chris Kelly constituency and a Dudley college corporation member John Freeman (the person that got us this meeting) attended this meeting that was held at the Dudley council house.  Myself and the other students provide our story on EMA and how it has and still is supporting us, that Chris listened to and taken on bored what we have said and that we should let our MPs which we did considering…

Have to say it’s been a busy time at the union office especially with our save our EMA and against cuts to education campaigns running. So you may have seen us running around getting letters signed we currently have over 700 letters.
