Natasha Millward Hi all,

We hope that you had a good Xmas break and are enjoying the new year!

Here at the SU HQ we have been really busy working on the Save EMA campaign.  We will be posting an updated file onto the website soon so that you can see all of the letters we have been sending out and all of the replies we have had, press cuttings and youtube links etc. 

We are going to the Houses of Commons again tomorrow to meet with MPs including Ian Austin and Margot James and then to attend a public meeting which will debate the future of EMA.

It will be fantastic if we can take some case studies with us of students who rely on EMA to come to college.  If you and your friends could answer the following questions and give us your postcode we can use these as examples with the MPs (we will not give your name.  Please e-mail us your answers as soon as possible.

 What do you spend your EMA on?
 Are you a 1st / 2nd / 3rd year student?
 Why is EMA important to you?
 Receiving EMA Helps me by…
 If EMA is removed then will you go to college next year?


Do you live in the Dudley South Ward [Chris Kelly MP], Stourbridge [Margot James MP] or Halesowen [James Morris MP]?  If you do then we need to speak to you! We need students who live in these constituencies to meet with their MPs to tell them face to face what the EMA means to you. 
We need to find 2 students who would like to meet with their MP, Chris Kelly on Friday 14th January between 3 – 5pm.

Laura Westwood I do public services and I have a student rep meeting this Wednesday at 9am-11am that I can’t go to because I have to go camping with Public services from Monday to Wednesday and I won’t be back in time for the meeting.
