College – Blackboard

3. Click on 'OK' and you will be taken to 'My WebCT' which will list all the areas you have been given access to. Just click on an area to access the resources within it.

Don't forget before you can login to Blackboard, YOU MUST login to a college computer and change your password. If you haven't done this yet, your password is your date of birth so for example if your date of birth is 01 January 1980, then your password is 01011980. If you are a student who doesn't come into college, you can activate your account by calling Bobby Burchill on 01384 363583 or email bobby.burchill@dudleycol.ac.uk

WebCT offers a whole range of on-line learning tools for staff and students which can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection. If you are a student, your course tutor will advise you if there is an area on WebCT specific to your course. If there is then this area may allow you access to course materials, e-mail, discussion boards, on-line tests and much more. Speak to your course tutor to find out more.

As well as individual course areas, everyone has access to ‘The Virtual Library’ area which contains resources that may be useful during your time at Dudley College. This includes an interactive guide on how to use WebCT, on-line careers advisor, training materials on how to use a PC, multimedia materials for literacy and numeracy, induction materials and much more. Just log on to WebCT and click on ‘The Virtual College’ to find out what is available. More materials will appear in this area throughout the academic year.
